I think this is the time to write a honest review of my bike Hero Karizma R 2014 model,B'cus i clocked 10k kms. This is the Version 2 of karizma with many changes after 2007.I got mine at may 2015.I have post why i go with karizma R in my blog. Karizma is my first higher CC and HP.

After my first test ride, The feeling i felt was "No word to explain".I hope you all understand that feeling which is common for the all 100cc bike owners. I brought my white beauty without second thinking. 

Good,Better,Best of Karizma R:

1.Riding Comfort - Good

2.Performance - Better

3.Look & Style - Best

Fair,Bad,Worst of Karizma R:

1.Breaking (missing dual disc break) - Fair

2.Head Light Visibility at night - Bad

3.Vibrations at higher RPM - Worst

Lets Start with best of this bike,

Look and Feel : It has so fresh look compare to all its segments. We never get style with this price tag. I definitely say this bike has absolute head turn style.People on the road will see you until you off from their view. 

 

Hero says this is the premium sports bike, It has the look like Hero's EBR Sports Track Bike.This model has the two head light one for low beam and another one for high beam. The problem i found was we cannot Switch on both at the same time and it has 35W bulb for lightening which is not sufficient on the indian roads.

 Karizma R in white is best in look (from my view).The rear suspension with Red springs gives attractive look.At sudden look this bike gives look like super bikes which cost more than 5 laks. 

 

The front wind visor do better job for splitting wind blast away from the chest. The black alloy wheel with tubeless tyre fit nicely with the design. Anyway this style is not got much appreciates but it is more good attraction when bike is on road.

Performance : I have done more than 10k kms in this bike and done many trips more than 15 different places in tamilnadu which i have posted in this blog. Cruzing @ 90 or 100 or 110 kmph all day, No issue. Wanna enjoy empty road at higher speed,it can take you upto 130 kmph without issue.This bike has live from 5k rpm to 8k rpm.

Engine: This machine is powered by 223cc which have capacity to produce 19.2bhp@7500RPM and 19.35nm@6500RPM.

Speed based on each RPM:

1.@4000 RPM at 5th Gear - 60 kmph.

2.@5000 RPM at 5th Gear - 80 kmph

3.@6000 RPM at 5th Gear - 90 kmph

4.@6500 RPM at 5th Gear - 100 kmph

This bike have max 8000 RPM.

It can do 0-60 kmph with 3.8 sec.0-100 9.3sec approx/-. If we can ride bike at 80 to 90 kmph in highway we can get 40 - 45 kmpl mileage. 

Lets talk about bad of karizma R,

Head Lights: Twin lights for low and high beam separately with 35w bulbs is worst in the way of lightening road for confident riding at night.From my experience i found this light is only good for city riding, it is not shoot for highway riding at night in some times opposite vehicles with low beam can make karizma riders blind illusion because of less brightness.Fitting of extra auxiliary lights is also difficult job in karizma r.

Breaks: Karizma ZMR have dual disc breaks but its not in karizma R. Anyway it have good bite at front wheel.

Vibrations: We can feel vibrations on handle bar from 4k RPM. Even though rubber coated on foot rest we can feel the vibrations at more than 6k RPM. Riders definitely feel the vibrate irritation if they ride bike without hand gloves. I have marked this issue in all my service time  but i couldn't solved.

All these problems are acceptable for this price range we couldn't expect more than this package.

Over All my karizma R satisfied me in all the way. It can keep up with duke 390 without issues in our most of the rides. I am really proud to own karizma R, It has Style,Performance & Comfortableness in Riding what not in karizma. So it is undoubtedly one of the awesome bike in this segment.     

       

 

  

Dhimbam Hills - bike Trip

It was my first long ride by bike on NOV 2015. I have just planned before night of my trip,that time i was about in leave for two days so planning to spend weak end quit different and came to the conclusion of bike ride to dhimbam. Dhimbam is the hill place with thick forest and it has 27 dangerous hairpin bends and ghat roads. Driving in dhimbam ghat road is very adventures one. We can find lot heavy load lorries travels on this road.One who have good knowledge in driving of ghat roads have only drive without struggle.

 I have used my yamaha crux for this ride. I have started my journey at 6 am from erode and reached 6.50 am in gobichettipalayam 40kms, then took 10 mins halt and started through sathyamangalam 35 kms and reached sathi at 7.45 am and took tea break for 15 mins. I started from sathi to bannari at 8 am and reached bannari amman temple at 8.30 am. Bannari to dhimbam road was an ultimate full of ghat roads.

The nice road and background mountain was looking pleasant. It was an November month so climate was so nice at the time of climbing mountain. let see few more pics..

First 10 hairpin bands were not much difficult to claim up, Then it gets difficult after 11 bend to 27th bend,not only roads and bends were problem there. The animals attacks were one of the major threads in dhimbam.

We can find a lot of warning posters on the side of road. This place is famous for leopard attack. There were lot of stories based on the leopard attack in dhimbam forest.

I was not aware of it until in reached there.After i heard a lot attack stories over that place i did drive more consciously while down hill.


Once i reached top, beauty of that forest was attracted me a lot.Lets see some pics...

Once I reached Dhimbam, i spend some time to enjoy the beauty of the nature. 11 am i started to down hill from dhimbam. This trip was mine first and seen nature with my own effort was gave me different proud feeling. The time i spend ,the money i spend and energy i spend for this trip was absolutely WORTH.

Hello All, I have been touring for past 2yrs by bike, I realized my interest in bike touring in middle of 2015 and that time i have an yamaha crux 2012 model. I have an habit that service bike at regular interval and mine is at good condition to go quit long. I decided to take crux to ride only in my district,after few road trips i decide to upgrade bike for higher highway cruzing power,satbility in road, more torque for hills claiming so these demanding i planned to upgrade my bike. I searched and researched a lot and finally settled by KrizmaR  2015 model.That specifications satisfied me in all ways like power,Style,comfort and maintenance.

  After karizma came to home only i got an real touring feel in me.I explore a lot about bikes,touring and driving. I spent a lot more time in youtube to know all about bikes and touring

The above mentioned place were i visited til now, Still a lot to explore in tamilnadu.I will definitely say this life time is not enough to see all the beauty of nature. So this journey will continue....

Sirumalai Trip - Silver Hills tour-route-places-siva temple-details

Silver Hills

We started from our home city ERODE at 5 am on 7th may 2017.It is the very pleasant morning because town had an rain at last night so that was an quit cool and nice to ride on that day. After filling up the fuel for both the bikes and left the city at around 5 am.We were 4 people on two bikes we had Karizma and Duke 390 for that ride.

From Erode to Karur 63 km full of service road and we almost reached at 5.55 am and took tea break at karur for 15 mins.

 

Then we started from karur at 6.15 am to dindigul on NH 44 which we were waiting for from erode, once we joined on NH 44 our white horse and Black horse were run like a wind tear bullet on the road and we were comfortably ride at triple digit speed. 

We took 10 mins interval before few kms from dindigul. We almost reached dindigul city at 7.10 am and found nice hotel for breakfast, it was a nice breakfast with lot of riding experience sharing.

After we left the hotel time was 8.10am then we started our ride to sirumalai without stoping anywhere.the route from dindigul to sirumalai was quite difficult to find that we won by using google map.

We were reached sirumalai at 8.40 am. It was so amazing to travel on that ghat road.The road was nice and free we claimed hill with 50 kmph with out fear of opposite vehicle.

Before we reached sirumalai there was an view tower on the road side. That was one of the best site seeing tower the view was breath taking.

We took a lot of pictures over there and moved to the sirumalai village. There is an hill called silver hill (Velli malai) and the top of that hill we can find the lord sive temple.The people were said that linga was created before 500 years. 

The road from sirumalai to the base of silver hills was so bad that was kind of off roading. We were reached silver hill at 8.50am. Then we started claiming hill at 9 am. there were no steps to reach top. We have to claim by the grip of the mountain rocks till the top.That was a very adventures 50mins hill claiming.

  

The over all 50 mins hard hill claiming was vanished when we reached top of the silver hill. The view was amazing.I thanked god to gave opportunity to be there. 

All our 4 hrs journey was full filled at that time of

seeing the beauty of nature.The pleasant climate and
Nature good smell breeze all together with lord siva, there are no words explain those feeling.






After taking lot of pictures,we wait for afternoon 12 o'clock poojai. The decorations for the lord siva was an ultimate one.

I thought that it was our luck to see god on this kind of look. I was felt so blessed on that moment. After all pooja's were completed we had our lunch which we took from home.We started down hill at 3 pm. We reached base at 3.55 pm.


We started from sirumalai to dindigul at 4.30 pm, while returning not more halt or stop we just stopped for tea at 6.40 pm near karur, then we started to move to erode, we were faced a heavy rain in karur which makes us to wait till 9.45 pm the rain was so mercy less with heavy wind.we waited so long to find gap to less rain and found one at 9.45 pm.Then no stop til reach erode. We were erode at 10.55 pm.


The overall experience of this trip was amazing we enjoyed lot and explored lot. This world have lot of nature beauties on it, it is our job to identified it and enjoy the nature.
